Carrols Restaurant Group, Inc. Expands Pollo Tropical(R) Presence In New Jersey with Second LocationSYRACUSE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 30, 2007--Carrols Restaurant Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: TAST), the parent company of Carrols Corporation, today announced the opening of its 77th Pollo Tropical location and second in the state of New Jersey. The new 4,000 square foot restaurant seats 87 guests and is located at 374 in Riverfront Center, just off Route 3 West in Clifton.

Pollo Tropical^® currently has one additional restaurant in New Jersey located in North Bergen at 3013 Kennedy Boulevard and one restaurant in Brooklyn, New York located at 771 Broadway. Pollo Tropical is based in Miami, Florida and has 74 Company owned locations across the Sunshine State.

Pollo Tropical restaurants combine high quality, distinctive menu items and an inviting tropical setting, with the convenience and value of quick-service restaurants. The Company's emphasis is on freshness and quality, with a focus on flavorful chicken served "hot off the grill". As part of its grand opening celebration today, Pollo Tropical is hosting a "Cluck for Bucks" contest whereby the company will donate a meal for the American Red Cross for every person who participates. On Saturday, the Company is hosting a limbo contest benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of Clifton.
